Description
I’m selling an all original, unaltered vintage Gibson humbucker pickup from the early sixties. These are what came directly after the legendary PAF pickups. Output reads 7.93K ohms of DC resistance, which makes this a tad hot and would do well in either neck or bridge position. This era of Gibson pickup would have been wound on a manual winding machine, as later Gibson humbuckers tend to come in a more consistent 7.5K ohms.Original nickel cover still attached- solder joints have not been broken or altered. Gibson switched over to chrome hardware sometime in 1965, so you can be assured this isn’t one of the later patent sticker or T-Top pickups which, though great, aren’t the same thing.
As you can see in the pictures, a most, if not all, of the lead pickup wire is still in place- about 12 inches worth. Note the characteristic “L” machining marks on the bottom of the feet.
Comes with original height adjustment screws and springs. I may have a couple pickup rings laying around, feel free to inquire about those.
Item will be well-packed and shipped very quickly. I welcome any questions or inquiries you might have.
